For the benefit of our customers, The Rachel Kendall Team will continue to operate and provide real estate services to the best of our abilities as we navigate this unchartered territory in which we all find ourselves.

While continuing to work and be available for our clients we will of course maintain compliance with any local rules, mandates, orders, or other governmental regulations that are now or will be in place in the future. Some of these local rules or governmental regulations may require us to stay home or significantly limit our social interactions. This is difficult for us because it interferes with the level of personal service that we pride ourselves in giving our clients. However, it is essential that we move forward in a publicly responsible manner.

In addition to following the advice and recommendations of our government and governmental officials, we are working to follow the guidelines which are becoming an industry standard and have been propounded by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Which again urge us as a profession to act responsibly, to limit our in-person interaction, and work to curb the spread of COVID-19.

There are several North Carolina counties currently in progress of issuing Stay at Home Proclamations. There are also some counties who have already issued these proclamations and specifically make exempt REALTORS from their orders, thereby allowing realtors to function as normal, while still mandating safety and social distancing precautions. Other counties, in their proclamations, have been silent as to realtors specifically, but are allowing real estate transactions to resume and close. The Rachel Kendall Team shall do its best to balance the needs of our clients with our best interpretation of these various county orders as we proceed forward.

Many activities that a few months ago were commonplace in our industry are now severely limited as a result of COVID-19. This includes but is in no way limited to in person showings, open houses, restrictions on accessibility for properties and other factors. We are happy for you and encourage you to have a conversation with your realtor about the best method to move forward and the risks associated with some activities. There are many options for buyers and sellers in this unique market, and we look forward to assisting you in your search for the perfect property even under these circumstances.
