RALEIGH, N.C. — Elected officials and the business community are joining in the dedication of the new Terminal 2 at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Ceremonies are scheduled for late Wednesday morning. Among the officials scheduled to appear are N.C. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Dale Carroll and Curtis Fentress, who was the lead architect on the project.
Lunch will be served on the concourse, followed by the unveiling of a plaque on the ticketing level.
At 920,000 square feet, the $570 million Terminal 2 is nearly three times larger than Terminal C, the building it replaced.
The first phase of the terminal opened in October 2008, while the second phase opened on Jan. 23, just in time to welcome visitors to the Research Triangle area for the National Hockey League All-Star festivities.
