Bike or hike along Morgan Creek Trail. Golf courses, both private and public, lie throughout the town. Forest Theatre is a hidden gem most notable for hosting the summertime Paperhand Puppet shows. Coker Arboretum features historic walking areas. Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation offers a myriad of recreation programs and cultural activities for all ages and social backgrounds.

The Sorrell building on Franklin Street currently houses the Varsity Theatre, but the Varsity isn’t the only theatre to call that building home – the building has housed movie theatres since its construction in 1927.
